IS3NA Travel Awards for XXIV IRT
To encourage young researchers to attend and present their work at XXIV IRT, IS3NA provides a limited number of Travel Awards, reserved to PhD students and post-docs with restricted budget submitting an abstract.
The deadline for the IS3NA Travel Awards application is: May 4, 2020.
To apply to the IS3NA Travel Awards for XXIV IRT, PhD students and post docs (having discussed their PhD thesis maximum 5 years before the registration deadline) have to:
1) be IS3NA member (for details, see: https://www.is3na.org);
2) send an abstract to the XXIV IRT through the standard registration process;
3) send the following documents as a unique .pdf file to the chair of the IS3NA Poster and Travel Awards committee, prof. Daniela
Montesarchio, at email@example.com, within May 4, 2020.
i) a short CV (max 1 page);
ii) a supporting letter of the tutor confirming the role of the applicant as PhD student or post-doc and specifying the tutor’s inability to cover the travel and staying expenses of the applicant through institutional or personal grants (max 1 page);
iii) a letter of the applicant with indication of the expected costs for travel and staying expenses to attend the XXIV IRT in Stockholm
(max 1 page);
iv) the submitted abstract.
The IS3NA Poster and Travel Awards committee will evaluate all the regular applications before the Early Bird registration deadline. The winners of the Travel Awards will be directly contacted by e-mail and will have to confirm the award acceptance.
As a general rule, only one application from the same lab will be accepted; should one tutor send more than one recommendation letter, he/she will have to clearly indicate his/her priority order.
The winners of the IS3NA Travel Awards for the XXIV IRT cannot apply for the IS3NA Poster Awards for the same conference.
